Patriotic Shorts

DIY: Flag Shorts

Forth of July is right around the corner and what better time to make them now. 

 You'll need:

-Bandana (if you can not find a big bandana you can buy a flag at any craft store)

-A pair of denim shorts. I used white and loved how it made the flag stand out.

-Fabric scissors

-Fabric glue (it will be permanent, which means you’ll be able to wash them)

Step 1:

Take the flag bandana and pick a side. Lay it over the one side. Make sure that you cover all of the inseam, cover everything. I cut out the whole star side, then glue it down and wait about a minute or two for it to dry.

 

Step 2:

Once it is dry, cut out the trimming carefully. Leave a little of the trimming so you can flip/fold the edges underneath to give a clean and perfectly trimmed look. 

*repeat these two steps on the other side of shorts.

For the backside, you can leave them plain or you can get creative and design the pockets any way you like!!

Here are some fun trendy nails to try this winter...

1. paint a coat of polish (any color)

2. let it dry

3. get newspaper, place it over your nail

4. dab vodka on top of the newspaper and remove

5. to finish add a clear top coat of nail polish to all

1. polish your nails in the order you want the colors to be in

2. put glitter nail polish on the nails you want to be glittery

3. grab a pencil and dab different dots of nail polish onto a nail that has no glitter

Buy A Hat. Change A Life

Krochet Kids' itl. is an organization to help empower people to rise above poverty owned by three childhood friends. It began in high school creating their own unique and distinct crochet hats for themselves. In College they began expanding to sell to their colleagues. They took custom orders and began selling their masterpieces to anyone who would buy them. During their summer breaks they traveled to volunteer in developing nations to gain better knowledge of their global community. They then came to the realization of how much help was needed during a state of poverty, war, diseases, dependency, famine, and hunger. They began teaching women how to crochet in developing countries such as Africa, and Peru. Each women that makes a hat signs it and is then sold in the United States, the money of that purchased hat is then sent back to the creator. The money changes the life of the individual. For each hat sold is a job, education, loan, healthcare, opportunity, FREEDOM and a NEW LIFE. A hats impact then become exponential growth. BUY A HAT. CHANGE A LIFE.
